Records fall at Twilight Meet

MADISON, Wis. – It was the closest thing the team has had to a home meet as select individuals from the Edgewood College track team competed at the Wisconsin Twilight Meet in Madison at the Dan McClimon Memorial Track just a few miles away from campus. Adam Brown set school records in the 200 meter dash and the 400 meter dash while Andrew Garvey rebroke his school record in the 1,500 meter run.

Six school records set at conference championships

LISLE, Ill. – Adam Brown and Andrew Garvey accounted for 15 of the team’s 19 points at the Northern Athletics Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships that saw the team set six school records, including most points scored. The Eagles amassed 19 points, narrowly edging out their previous best point total of 18 points from the conference indoor championships.

MADISON, Wis. -- Two weeks ago the Edgewood College track team traveled to Lisle, Ill. for the Benedictine Eagle Invitational setting two school records at the meet. The Eagles hope their familiarity and recent success on Benedictine’s track will carry over this weekend as they return for the second time in three weeks for the second annual Northern Athletics Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The team looks to build on their performance at the indoor meet in February that saw the team score a school record 18 points, finishing ninth overall.

Garvey guides Eagles on windy day

RIPON, Wis. – On a cold and windy day, Andrew Garvey led the Edgewood College men’s track team finishing fifth in the 1,500 meter run and ninth in the 800 meter run at the Wisconsin Private College Championships at Ingalls Field in Ripon, Wis. The Eagles finished 11th at the meet, with Garvey scoring all four of the teams points.
