JANESVILLE, Wis. - The Edgewood College men’s golf team fought through Friday’s high winds and went to bed with dreams of a championship in their own invitational. However, while the calmer winds of Saturday helped nearly every team, the Eagles struggled and slipped from first to fifth place at the 21-team Culver’s Edgewood College Fall Invitational. UW-Stout took advantage and claimed their fourth straight title, nipping the University of St. Thomas by one stroke.

MADISON, Wis. – Anyone that watched professional golfer Dustin Johnson at the 2010 PGA Championship can attest to what a big difference two strokes can make. For the Edgewood College men’s golf team, they’ve had all summer to ponder the two extra strokes that kept the Eagles from reaching their first NCAA Division III Championship.
